"Simply stated, iLEX Protective Paste saved my life. O.K. so maybe I am being a little overly dramatic! More correctly, iLEX certainly has saved my social life. In late 1997 because of some dysplastic changes observed in my yearly colonoscopy, I had a complete colostomy and subsequent J-Pouch Surgery. Because of increased bowel movements and some slight, but constant seepage, I constantly had a sore and itchy bottom. I tried all sorts of ointments and so called skin barrier protectors to no-avail. The only thing that helped me was a topical anesthetic that was both short acting and messy.
About two years ago, I saw an advertisement on a J-Pouch web-site and thought "nothing ventured, nothing gained". It was with great surprise and excitement to find that it worked absolutely wonderfully from the first minute on! I don’t have to worry about playing and walking 18 holes of golf, even if it is 90 degrees out. I can sit through a 3 hour performance at a theater or take a long plane flight without worry or discomfort. As I said earlier, it saved my social life.
